Finally, the WSI Hong Kong trip is officially starting! Its 9:00am at Suvarnabhumi International Airport and the 10 Wall Street staff are gathered outside the check-in area for Emirates Airline counters, or gate T, looking very alert and awake in their “HEY! I’M NOT SHY TO SPEAK ENGLISH” t-shirts. We are here early because we promised to give out presents to the first 20 students who arrive and finish the registration process, as promised by P’Xsy on the orientation day.

ในที่สุดวันที่พวกเราจะได้ไปตะลุยฮ่องกงก็มาถึงแล้วนะคะ ขณะนี้ที่สนามบินสุวรรณภูมิเป็นเวลา9โมงเช้าแต่พี่ๆสต๊าฟของวอลล์สตรีททั้ง 10 คนก็มายืนรออยู่แล้ว ณ จุดนัดพบ gate T ซึ่งก็คือ ลานข้างหน้าเคาน์เตอร์เช็คอินของสายการบินเอมิเรตส์นั่นเอง วันนี้สต๊าฟ ทุกคนพร้อมใจกันใส่เสื้อสกรีนคำว่า HEY! I’M NOT SHY TO SPEAK ENGLISH พร้อมมีของรางวัลพร้อมมาแจกให้กับน้องๆ 20 คนแรกที่มาลงทะเบียนด้วยค่ะ

But what do you know...WSI students are known to be very competitive when they play games, and this time is no exception…the first arrival of the day came to wait at the gate since 8:20am! That’s 40 minutes before the staff start to arrive at 9 am! The other 19 early birds show up not long after with the 20th winner arriving at 9:40am, a whole 20 minutes before the meeting time set at 10 am. Each winner gets a cute plastic water bottle for use in Disney Resort because water is very expensive inside the park.

แต่...อะไรนี่ ทำไมน้องๆมานั่งรอกันอยู่แล้วหลายคนเลยด้วย ทั้งๆที่เรานัดกันตั้ง 10 โมง เชื่อแล้วว่านักเรียนวอลล์สตรีทนี่จริงจังกับการเล่นเกมส์ชิงรางวัลกันมาก พอเข้าไปคุยกับน้องที่มาคนแรกปรากฏว่ามานั่งรอตั้งแต่ 8โมง 20นาที! โอ้แม่เจ้า! ส่วนผู้ชนะอีก 19 คนที่เหลือก็มาภายในเวลาไล่เลี่ยกันโดยคนที่ 20 นี่มาเวลา 9:20น ซึ่งก็ถือว่ายังเช้ามาก สรุปแล้วทั้ง 20 คนก็ได้รับของรางวัลไปตามที่พี่ Xsy ได้สัญญาไว้ เป็นขวดใส่น้ำดื่มน่ารักเชียว เอาไว้ใช้ในดิสนีย์ รีสอร์ตเพราะข้างในน้ำแพงมาก

Today is our big day! Even though we all went to bed late last night no one has any trouble waking up. That’s because we are going to invade Hong Kong Disney Resort. Yay!

วันนี้เป็นวันที่พวกเราทุกคนตั้งหน้าตั้งตาคอย แม้เมื่อคืนจะนอนดึกไปหน่อยแต่ก็ไม่มีใครตื่นสายเลย อาจจะเป็นเพราะว่าวันนี้เราจะไปบุกฮ่องกง ดิสนีย์ รีสอร์ตกันมั้ง ใครกล้าตื่นสายก็อดไปตามระเบียบนะจ๊ะ

At 9 o’clock sharp, we come down to meet at the hotel’s restaurant, Golden Valley, located on the second floor for some delicious dim sum breakfast to store energy for the long day ahead. And guess who’s waiting inside? Wall Street staff! They are wearing aprons and chef hats, waiting to serve everyone their food and drinks. The students of course wasted no time and start taking pictures while waiting for their food which consists of shumais, steamed buns, congee, and stir fried noodle among others.

เรานัดเจอกันที่ห้องอาหารของโรงแรมตอน 9 โมงตรงเช้านี้ เพื่อรับประทานติ่มซำเป็นอาหารเช้าร่วมกันก่อนออกเดินทาง แต่พอเปิดประตูห้องอาหารเข้าไปก็ต้องแปลกใจ เพราะแทนที่จะเจอพนักงานเสริฟแนวอาตี๋ อาหมวย กลับเจอฝรั่งแทน! ใช่แล้วค่ะ สต๊าฟของวอลล์สตรีทได้แปลงร่างมาเป็นพนักงานเสริฟ แถมแต่งกันเต็มยศเลยทั้งผ้ากันเปื้อน และ หมวกเชฟ นักเรียนก็เลยถ่ายรูปกันใหญ่กับเชฟจำเป็นระหว่างรออาหารเช้า ซึ่งก็มี ขนมจีบ ซาละเป๋า ฮะเก๋า ครบตามสูตร แถมด้วย ชา กาแฟ ไมโล ทานกันจนจุกเลยค่ะ

Last night I’m certain that all the students had a great night’s sleep. Who wouldn’t? We have been running around Disney Resort all day playing games in the hot sun from noon to 8pm. You would have to be Superman to not feel tired!

เมื่อคืนนี้เชื่อว่าทุกคนคงหลับสนิทชนิดปลุกไม่ตื่น ก็แหม...พวกเราเล่นเดินรอบดิสนีย์ รีสอร์ตซะคนละหลายๆรอบ ตั้งแต่เที่ยงยันสองทุ่ม ใครไม่เหนื่อยก็คงเป็นซุปเปอร์แมนแล้วล่ะค่ะ

Coming down to the lobby at 8 am, I can see that it is already full of WSI students looking refreshed and excited for today’s program. The plan is to check-out from the hotel, go eat dim sum breakfast at a famous restaurant called “Paramount Dim Sum” then off we go to the temples.

พอย่างเท้าลงมาที่ล็อบบี้ตอน 8โมง ก็เห็นว่าเด็กวอลล์สตรีทลงมากันแล้วเกือบครบ ทุกคนดูสดชื่นและเตรียมพร้อมที่จะไปลุยโปรแกรมของวันนี้ ซึ่งมีทั้งหมด สามที่ที่เราจะไปกัน แต่ก่อนอื่น เราจำเป็นต้องหาอาหารใส่ท้องก่อนเป็นอันดับแรก วันนี้อาหารเช้าของเราเป็นติ่มซำอีกเช่นเคยค่ะ แต่คราวนี้เราไปทานกันที่ร้านอาหารชื่อดัง ย่านดาวน์ทาวน์กันค่ะ หลังจากนั้นเราจึงจะไปไหว้พระกันต่อ
